Wesley Orr, a Windsor fighter died on Friday, January 5, 2019, due to a climbing accident in Collingwood, Ontario. Orr graduated from French-language high school École secondaire l'Essor, he died just before his 26th birthday in an accident that took place at Blue Mountain Resort.

According to the provincial police, Orr tried to climb the outside wall of a building on the resort when he lost his footing and fell to the ground. A public visitation was set from 2 to 5:30 pm and 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, January 8 at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home located on Tecumseh Road East and the firefighter walk-through took place at 7:30 pm.

According to Steve Laforet, the Windsor fire chief, a walk-through is a special procession in which firefighters pay their respect to the deceased by walking past the casket. The funeral was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 9 and the cremation followed accordingly.
