Langley is a city in the Metro Vancouver Regional District. It is bordered by Surrey, Cloverdale area, and the Township of Langley. Langley was incorporated as a city on March 15, 1955. It has a total population of 25,888, according to the 2016 Canadian population census, and a land area of 10.22 square kilometers. As a result, the city has a population density of 2,533.6 per square kilometer.
The city of Langley has 17 public parks. Some of the parks are merely small neighborhood adventure playgrounds but some are large with wildlife, nature trails and several sporting fields and equipment. A few of these parks include Brydon Park, City Park, Uplands Dog Off-Leash Park, Douglas Park, Nicomeki Park, Linwood Park, Sendall Gardens, Rotary Centennial Park, Penzer Action Park, and so forth.
Langley’s major annual event is the Langley Cruise-In held every September annually. Other events held in the city include the Arts Alive Festival and the Langley Ukulele Ensemble. Moreover, the basic infrastructure and community facilities in the city include Langley City FVRL Library, Douglas Recreation Center, Timms Community Center, Langley Fire Rescue Hall, AI Anderson Memorial, and so forth.
