Japanese Chin Pet Insurance News

An award-winning Japanese Chin, Fierce, got away in Bakersfield, California, on January 7 when she was taken to Los Angeles, before the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Fierce owners want their dog back, not just for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Speaking in an email, David Gutierrez, the dog owner, said: “she’s our family member”.

Pet detective Annalisa Berns noted that Fierce has been missing since January 7. According to a news release about the dog’s disappearance, Fierce might be mistaken for a Chihuahua mix since her breed is not commonly known in the United States.

The dog’s owner promised a $2,000 reward for anyone who would get Fierce back.

According to Gutierrez, Fierce won best of opposite sex at the 2018 Japanese Chin Nationals. The victory was described as a huge accolade. She added that her next big show was to the upcoming prestigious Westminster show.

Although search dogs hunted for Fierce on January 13 without any success, the owner is hopeful that someone picked the little dog and doesn’t know who to return her to.
