Features and Benefits

Superior Program is basically for Canadian citizens or people residing in Canada who meet the eligibility requirements. The coverage includes disability insurance which provides the benefit of protection in the event of total disability as well as several other benefits. Some other options included in this plan include overhead expense insurance for small business owners and so forth.

• Partial disability benefit is available in this plan. This benefit is provided when the insured cannot do 50% of his regular duties due to a disability.
• This plan provides an option to return 50% of all the premiums you paid on the plan at age 55, 60 or 65. The amount returned will be calculated after deducting the claims already paid to you.
• The plan provides an opportunity to extend the disability definition.
• You will be eligible for a lump sum which is equivalent to the benefits not paid to you during your waiting period provided that your disability lasts longer than six months.
• People whose disability lasts for more than a year will have their benefits indexed in line with the Consumer Price Index.
• The premium for this plan depends on the worker’s occupation.
