From a great distance away, you can see "Big Rock" which is a glacial erratic between 10,000 and 30,000 years old. It weighs 16,500 tonnes.
The rock has a great deal of significance to the Blackfeet Nation who have a traditional story to explain its creation. It warns against the dangers of taking back what you've already given. Think of it like a larger, more geologically significant, Canadian Stonehenge.

You can even see the dates of their first encounter with Europeans, the arrival of the first horses, and the first sighting of a car in this area.
Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park also has geological significance. The rocks were exposed in the valley over 85 million years ago by a large inland sea.
